The lobby decor is intimate and warm with a pleasant and thoughtful staff who remember you, and a doorman standing at the ready as you come and go. There’s a vibe that is both contemporary and classic, not overdone in any way, but comfortably luxurious. I particularly liked the grillwork screens that divided lobby spaces, and the marble floors.
The room was surprisingly spacious for any downtown property, and so elegantly appointed. We sometimes felt we’d just like to spend more time there, but of course we found lots to keep us busy in and around Rittenhouse Square itself, and at the many local (and world-class) museums.
We loved walking across the square for lunch or dinner, and we spent an incredible Sunday at the hotel’s award-winning restaurant, Lacroix, enjoying an eclectic and artistic brunch that offered lots of gourmet surprises.
The location, service and style couldn’t have been better. We had a pool and workout room – my husband loves a swim before we start the day. We’ll certainly stay here on our next trip to Philly – we may even plan one just so we can!
